Executed in the winter of 2011 in London's Battersea Park, this series of photographs present a collection of found horticultural sculptures. The garden provides the setting for these installation pieces, somewhat like an art gallery. These pieces are in fact non-indiginous plants that must be protected from the harsh winter cold with a cover of gauze, held in place by string. Some of these striking and ghostly pieces conjure up a sense of morbid fascination, as if one bares witness to a discarded tortured body dumped without ceremony. Standing erect and proud a number of cocoons await the arrival of the warm sun that will herald their opening and freedom.
'Work in Progress' - Further photographs will be added to this series. - 05.02.2012
